Epiderme Skincare Review

Epiderme contacted me a few weeks ago whether I would like to try out on their products. To tell the truth, this is the first time I heard of this brand. So I did some reading on their products from their website and from the forum. One thing that attracted me is that I found out all their products are Paraben-free. That's interesting. So I decided to give it a try.   (｡◕‿◕｡) 

I think most of us know that Parabens are widely used preservatives in cosmetic and skincare products and there're informations stated that it might cause cancer. If possible, I would try to use products that are organics and paraben-free. So finally last week, my Epiderme Starter kits from EPIDERME has arrived.

As my main skin concern is acne, they recommended me the following products:

1. Face Wash Gel

I will share with you one by one on the products and how it work on me.

1. Face Wash Gel 

Product benefit: Provides skin exfoliation, prevents pore clogging and smoothes away fine lines and wrinkles.Its rich in vitamins, calcium and minerals help to increase skin immune function and help to combat problematic skin.

How to use : Lather face wash gel with water between palms and massage over face and throat. After that, rinse and pat dry you skin.

My review:  The face wash gel have a very natural scent. Doesn't smell like those clinical products. It doesn't dry out my skin and my skin feel refresh and clean. Overall, it works fine with my skin. :) 

2.Perfect Daily Exfoliating Gel

Product benefit: Helps to exfoliate aging skin and weaken dark spots using pineapple, cucumber and white hazel extract.Apart from these, it helps to improve skins hydration.

How to use : After cleansing face, put gentle amount on face and gently massage for about 2-3 minutes until small pieces appear then wash away. 

My review:  Personally I thought exfoliating products usually have the micro beads, but Epiderme perfect daily exfoliating gel appear just like normal cleansing gel. It didn't take 2 mins for the white small pieces to appear. I just massage it for 5 seconds, the white pieces already started appears. After washing it, feel like my face a bit too squeaky clean.  Could it be because the products removed my dead skin? O.o  Anyway regarding weaken dark spots, I can't really verify it as I only use it once a week and so far I'm only using it for the second weeks. Maybe need to use it longer time only I can see the results. 

3.Acne Recovery Serum 

Product benefit: An effective formula of anti-inflammatory,anti-microbial and anti-bacterial ingredients combined with Salicylic Acid for clearer and balanced complexion. It prevents pore clogging, reduce inflammation and stimulates new cell growth

How to use : Apply twice daily ( morning and night ) after your toner. 

My review:  The texture is a bit too watery and quite hard for me to control the amount when pumping. However it did reduce my acne inflammation on my forehead when I apply it for one week. I also apply it on a small acne at my neck. It's worth trying if you have small acne and it can easily control the inflammation. 

4.Advanced Aqua Gel 

Product benefit: Helps to repairs and stimulates collagen to increase skin elasticity and hydrate skin instantly.

How to use : Apply twice daily ( morning and night ) after Acne Recovery Serum.

My review:  The texture is light and light pink in colour. I like the scent. It has the flowery scent which is quite refreshing. After apply, my skin doesn't appear oily as usually some of the moisturiser after applying for a few minutes, my face just feel sticky. I don't have the sticky feeling on my face for this product. Its easily absorbs to my skin. 


Overall, I think it's worthy trying Epiderme :). Been using it for two weeks, at least it doesn't cause new breakout on my skin. I hope my review can let you understand more about Epiderme products. You can visit their website and Facebook page for more detail and information.

Sirius Sonic Skin Care System Review

Hello dearies..  ✿◕ ‿ ◕✿     Today I'll be reviewing on Sirius Sonic Skincare System. I bought it last year but haven got the time to review it. I'm not sure whether you all heard of this device before...but I'm pretty sure most of you all know Clarisonic Skin Care right? Well, Sirius Sonic Skincare System have almost similar function as Clarisonic but with huge price different. Sirius Sonic Skincare System is way cheaper. After reading thru several review on Clarisonic, I wanted to get one Clarisonic myself, but it's really quite pricey. I can't get myself to pay for it. So I search high and low for other brands that have almost the same functionality as Clarisonic and prices that is within my budget. And then here I was, I found Sirius Sonic Skincare System. I bought it for RM 150. 

Sirius Sonic Skincare System is one of the beauty device by Sirius Beauty. Sirius Beauty state this is the only sonic skincare system that have 5 interchangeable heads designed to cleanse, exfoliate, hydrate and tone. 

Each of the head have different functions as below:

Cleanse - Provide deep and gentle cleansing. It help to remove dirt residue on our face 2x better and makeup removal 6x better.

Exfoliate - Gently buff away dead skin cells and sweep away impurities and clear our skin pores.

Hydrate - Achieve deeper penetration of products into our skin with 50% greater absorption of nutrients.

Tone - Plump and tighten our facial muscles for more defined jaw lines and cheekbones. 

I usually use the cleanse, hydrate and exfoliate head. For the sonic brush cleanse head, it really help to deep cleanse my face better than I use hand own hand. The way the device function is it's moving back and forth in oscillating motion. My face doesn't get irritated when using it. There's a booklet guide inside the box which guide us on how many second we should spend cleansing our forehead, nose, cheek and chin. You need to keep track on the second you spend on each section yourself, which I think is quite hard. As for the exfoliate head, I use it once a week as I don't want to over exfoliate my skin. Same as the cleanse head, after using it, my skin pores look smaller. I'm not sure whether this is my imagination or what :) but my skin feel refresh. After using the exfoliate, I use the hydrate head to apply my moisturizer. One thing I question myself is that, won't the moisturizer be mostly absorb by the sponge before reaching my face ? So I seldom use the sponge. Overall, I think the sonic brush cleanse head does the better work than the rest of the head. I usually use Sirius Sonic at night.

The device itself is easy to use. Two button, either on or off. When you turn it one, you can feel it oscillating. Its like very small and fast vibration. If you feel that the oscillation is getting slower or weaker, you can easily change the battery. It's using AA battery. I would suggest to buy a rechargeable battery. 

Based on my overall experience,  there're pros and cons. It depend what you want and your budget. For me, I think Sirius Sonic Skincare system does the work and it's not pricey. It's worth to invest. What do you think? Feel free to share with me :)

Naraya Outlet in Gurney Paragon Penang

To all the Naraya bag fans out there..Naraya is opening an outlet at Gurney Paragon, Penang. :) The shop is located on the second floor which is beside SASA shop.  I saw the shop when I went to Gurney Paragon last week during raya holiday. I was like " What the..I just carry and bought a few Naraya bags from my Bangkok trip last two month !! " . If I know they going to open a Naraya shop here, I won't be spending my time searching for the Naraya shop in Bangkok. 

From what I see, the price of the bags at Naraya Penang is almost the same as the one in Bangkok and they have the same design available as well. I guess from now one, most of the ladies going to buy from Naraya Penang instead of buying it from Bangkok and having the hard time carrying it back to Malaysia :)

Ume Skin Analyzer Review

Ever wander how is your skin condition? Is the skin dry or oily and izzit healthy ? Usually by knowing this, we can only determine what skin care products can help to improve our skin and have healthy skin. 

I know that my skin is very oily but don't know what's causing it. I can only check my skin condition with the skin analyzer machine at the skin care counter when I'm buying something from the counter from time to time. :( 

TODAY....HAHA..I going to introduce to you and do a simple review on a tool which I just bought..It's Ume skin analyzer. Its a small and cute tool that help me to analyse and understand my skin better anytime and anywhere. I order this tool from a clinic and bought it at RM 92. 

They have two colour to select. Pink and White. I bought the pink colour one Y^^Y. 

This tool is very simple to use. With just three steps, I can directly measured and know my skin water content. With this tool, it help me to understand my skin Moisture, what is the water percentage, the Oiliness (skin type) and Roughness of my skin (dead cell thickness). One thing about this skin analyzer is that I can bring it anywhere as it's very small. Another thing is that with this tool, I can know which products help my skin. I can measure the skin before applying the product and re-measured my skin again after applying the product. 

This is my skin condition. :( As you can see, it's in terrible condition. I haven been doing my mask recently. What does this measurement tell me? It's telling me my skin is very dry with only 34% of water content and my skin is rough. This is not good!!!! RED ALERT!! Need to do more mask ..

Overall I think this beauty product it's worth to invest  :).

My Trip to Bangkok

Hi Ladies..I've just come back from Bangkok. Went there for 5 days 4 night just purely shopping ^^. I know how all girls feel when it come to shopping..* EXCITING*

Bought the Airasia ticket to bangkok from Penang and it cost me around RM 600 ( two-way). It's not so cheap but that's  the only time which I can free out my time..At Bangkok, I spend most of my time at Pratunam Wholesale Market and Platinum mall. 

I went to Naraya shop at Asiatique.  Girls went crazy inside it.  It have most of the latest design. I think the bags are quite nice. I only bought two bags which i think quite nice and it cost me RM 80 for these two bags. I think its quite expensive and I'm not sure why all of them can buy till one whole big plastic bag full with Naraya bag. ==""

On the second day, we went to Central Mall. It was a HUGE mall. Didn't buy anything from the Mall as most of the things sell inside the mall are quite expensive. 

We went to Oshi Grand Buffet for our dinner. If not mistaken, the price per person is around 700THB which is way cheaper than Baiyoke Sky buffet. The things that attract me is the Haagen Dazs ice cream. They have quite a few choice for you to choose. There's one section which you can choose which vege, fish and meat you like for stir fry and steam. I like the Thai Steam Fish. 

Here's some of the pictures I taken at Terminal 21. Didn't  bought anything from there as I think its more to branded and design store though some appear to be cheap. The only interesting things at Terminal 21 is the building concept only. It have different concept for each floor. We spend time walking thru each floor. 

Those who prefer shopping for cheap and nice clothes, I highly recommend these two places ( Pratunam Market and Platinum Mall). You can bargain a bit on the price. If would be much more cheaper if you buy in wholesale ( usually 3 pcs either same design or can you can mixed the design). It depends on the shops. These are the items which I buy from Pratinum Market and Platinum mall. Total damage approximately 2500 THB. T.T. The earring are suppppper cheap.
I end my bangkok with trip with all these loots :)

Trip to Phuket

Just looking thru my photo and found some photos which I took it during my honeymoon trip to Phuket. I would like to share with you the hotel  which I love very much during my trip. The trip was in June 2012. We went there for 5 day 4 night. The first two night, we're staying at The Sea Patong. The environment is clean and quiet. We mention that it's our honeymoon trip. They help to decorate our room with roses :) They offer pickup from airport to hotel. All these can included inside when you purchase the package. 

On our last two night, we're staying at Metadee Resort Villa. I like this place so much. Here's a few photo of the villa which we're staying at. We book for one-bedroom villa with pool access from Booking.com. The price for one night is approximately RM  600. I LOVE the bedroom design. The room is fill is relaxing lemon grass aroma scent. They have the jazz music playing in the room. I will definitely come back to this resort again.

Makeup Book by Pony

Hi gals..It' been a while since my last post. Anyway today i'm going to introduction a few books which I would like to highly recommend it to you all. I find it very helpful for those who are learning makeup. These are great book as inside, it teach us how to make up with step by step pictures and a copy of cd with video illustration.

Every time she launch a new volume, i would definitely buy it. I usually buy it at Popular bookstore. To get cheaper price, you need to buy it during its new launching period which we can buy it at approximately RM 35 with the Popular member 15% discounted price. After the launching is over, the price will hike up to approximately RM 46. So every once a while, I will surely drop by Popular bookstore to check whether there's any new volume out. :) 

Here's the sneak peak of the books. There're step by step picture illustration so that you can easily understand. It even mention what makeup items she use to achieve this look. This is one of the look from her which I like it very much. It focus on eye makeup.

Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick Review

Hello all..Good Morning..Last month was a busy month for me with Chinese new year coming along, spend most of my time cleaning up my house during the weekends. As you all know, during Chinese new year, we ( especially girl and ladies) want to look pretty :)  and these are the time where most of us would do some make-up to look nice. 

Today I'm going to introduce a product which I found favourite in, " Maybelline Clear Smooth BB Stick". I get to know this product when I went back home town for CNY and saw my sister bought one. She never really try it out. I was curious so I open it up and try it on my skin. I was surprised by the texture of this product. From the outlook, the texture look creamy, so my first thought without trying is that this product going to be sticky when apply to my oily skin. But the instant I apply it to my skin, I get the powdery feel. 

It doesn't feel sticky and It's easy to blend in to my skin. I was like " WOW". I quick ask my sister to try it out. At first she was skeptical to try out but after applying and she saw the before and after on her face, she was amaze by it too. I use the stick to cover up her dark eye circle. It done a pretty good job in concealing her dark eye circles. 

So once I back in Penang, I directly went to Guardian to bought one myself. Maybelline Clear Smootn BB stick have two tone : Fresh and Natural. I bought Natural as I think fit more to my skin tone.  I use the stick to cover up my acne and pimples scar ;) 

Overall, I think this is a great product especially when using it to cover dark eyes circle and acne scar. ♥♥♥

Cute Baby Booties

Hi everyone...How is your first day of the week? Hope you all have a nice time last weekend. 

For me, I've been busying setting my facebook Store Page. I've started making some DIY stuff. At first it started as a gift for my niece. She's so cute that I can't stop myself in making something for her during her trip to Penang last few weeks. I've make one pair of shoes and a headband for me. Crocheting these things really take up most of my free times :) But it was worth it. 

When she come to Penang, the first I do is to slip up the shoes to her tiny feet to see whether it fits her. It end up quite large, so I've to add a strap to keep it in tag. The headband fits her well. Here's the picture of her wearing the headband. Wasn't she adorable. :) 

Since it turns out quite ok for her, so I started to make a few  more baby booties and thought of setting up a Page store and sell some of it. I call it LullabyBaby Store. :) Feel free to drop in my Store Page.

Review Cellnique Skin Purifying Daytime Protection 20

Hello gal ^^ Wish you all Happy New Year 2013. Its starting of a brand new year. Have you all set your goal for this year? I've set mine. By end of this year, I want to achieve flawless skin. 

In order to achieve 2013 goal, I've change my skincare routine. One of the item which I added to my skincare routine is Sunblock as it protect my skin from been damaged by the sunlight when I went outdoor. All the while I never use sunblock is because I think sunblock is  too oily for my skin as I have acne prone skin and felt it would congested my skin. However after I started to use Cellnique product two month ago for my acne, I get to know  that they have sunblock product as well, Skin Purifying Daytime Protection 20. I was keen to try-out but at the same time scare it might cause more breakout.

 I asked one of my friend who used this product. Her skin is also pimple prone skin. So far she haven see any breakout from using it. So I decided to give it a try. I would like to thank Cellnique for giving me this opportunity to try out their sunblock. Here's my honest review of it.

Cellnique Skin Purifying Daytime Protection 20 come with a pump head applicator which I think is quite hygienic. I've been using this product for two week before doing this review. Throughout the two week, I don't have any severe breakout.  ( which I think this is an important point for any people that have acne skin). Apart from that one thing that amaze me is it doesn't feel heavy/appear oily on my face. 

As stated inside the product description, this product is suitable for oily, acne-prone skin. Unlike normal sunblock, this product provide the below advantages which I personally felt it 's working as what it mention. 

• Kills the bacteria P.acnes that causes acne infection.  ( Acne seems less inflame during my one week application) 
• Prevents breakouts. ( No major breakout seem during two week application)
• Reduces inflammation caused by acne.
• Anti- irritant. ( Skin doesn't appear redness after application) 

Apart from these, it work as natural foundation to cover my acne mark. Although it doesn't provide full coverage but minimum enough to make my skin look natural.  It doesn't appear greyish or felt thickish. You won't felt anything on your face.  I use one pump for whole face and only apply it during daytime. 

Overall, I'm quite satisfy with this product. Above is all my personal review and experience on the product during the two week application. Will continue using it. :)
